The use of generic role profiles to describe work can be an excellent approach to achieving consistency and transparency in your pay arrangements. With jobs matched to profiles (using an analytical but very much more efficient system), organisations can put an end to the constant JE 'industry' that is unnecessarily expensive and time consuming.
